
Dogwoof is one of the world’s leading documentary film companies, based in London and spanning production, sales, and theatrical distribution. Its catalogue includes 37 Oscar-nominated documentaries, with seven winners, alongside multiple BAFTA- and Oscar-winning titles such as Free Solo, Navalny, and 20 Days in Mariupol. Working with a global network of broadcasters, distributors, and festival partners, Dogwoof operates at a scale where efficient, secure content delivery is critical.
As Dogwoof’s catalogue expanded, so did the complexity of its workflows. The team relied on a combination of platforms including Vimeo, Indee, and Dropbox to store assets, share screeners, and deliver content. While functional, this setup created unnecessary friction.
Managing multiple tools meant juggling different logins, processes, and costs. Security varied between platforms, making it difficult to maintain a consistent standard across all deliveries. At the same time, tracking viewer access and engagement was limited, and different teams often had to rely on different systems depending on their needs.
The process worked, but it wasn’t scalable or efficient for a growing, globally active business.
CineSend was first introduced through Dogwoof’s festivals team, who began using it for deliveries to international events. Its value quickly became clear across the wider organization.
By consolidating workflows into a single platform, CineSend provided a central hub for managing screeners, final masters, and other assets. It enabled secure, professional deliveries to broadcasters and partners while also supporting branded screening rooms and a consistent viewing experience.
From a technical servicing perspective, the ability to send content from a trusted, secure source simplified operations significantly. Across the company, teams benefited from improved visibility into usage and engagement, as well as a system that supported sales, servicing, and distribution in one place.
CineSend has become fully embedded in Dogwoof’s day-to-day operations, replacing a fragmented workflow with a single, cohesive system. Teams that previously operated across different tools and processes are now aligned, working from one platform that supports everything from screeners to final deliveries.
